The CRN seeks to connect those within the Law and Society/Sociolegal Studies group with the segment of the rising Empirical Legal Studies community that focuses on civil justice issues. The criminalization of the sex industry and the marginalization of people working therein is a timely and urgent public problem. With this CRN we hope to collaboratively work towards discovering revolutionary options to the problems that these employees face, at the identical time contributing to the scholarly neighborhood by filling a niche in the Law and Society community.
Our interest lies in the theoretical and sensible dimensions of sociolegal scholarship related to transitional justice, together with human rights, international felony legislation, battle decision, and peacebuilding. We hope to offer a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary discussion board to discover processes, efficacies debates, policies, effects, and other related issues within the burgeoning examine of transitional justice. This CRN seeks to review the depictions of authorized instances, actors and courts in the media, and to discover the character and implications of increased media presence on the conduct of authorized affairs and on public knowledge of and belief within the authorized system. The CRN will provide a forum for the convergence of curiosity of a wide range of issues in the study of the intersection of media and the legislation which were explored by scholars from numerous disciplines, such a political science, sociology, criminology, media studies, and naturally legal students.
